The Journal of Internationalisation and Localisation aims at establishing a worldwide discussion forum for both professionals and academics in the area of internationalisation and localisation. The scope of the journal is as broad as possible in order to target all the players in the internationalisation and localisation profession. The specific aim of the journal is to leverage the full range of information, from academic research results to the shop floor of today's language industries, and, conversely, to leverage business experiences in order to inform academic research.

This new journal's publication goals are driven by the scopes of the Localisation Industry Standards Association (LISA) and its education initiative, the LISA Education Initiative Taskforce (LEIT), offering the following opportunities and benefits to its expected audience:

Publicity and branding opportunities for GILT-oriented training programs;

Industry feedback enabling programs to remain abreast of industry trends;

Opportunities to disseminate critical information at both the academic and the industry levels;
